Voortrekker Monument:
The Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria is the biggest monument in Africa, it is specifically important. Specifically important to the overall understanding of Boer culture in South Africa in the 1800’s. While Pretoria at that time was Boer capital. Built to honour those who left the Cape Colony under British control in pursuit of self determination. Subsequently left the Cape colony between 1835 and 1855 and became known as Voortrekkers.
Pretoria Synagogue:

Kruger House Museum:
Built in 1884 and was the first house in Pretoria to be lit by electricity. Kruger’s personal House.
Immaculately recreated to look exactly as it did when Paul Kruger, president of the Zuid Afrikaanse (Transvaal) Republiek, lived there more than a century ago. Across the road is the Gereformeerde Kerk (Church). Paul Kruger’s Pretoria Church.
Freedom Park and Memorial:
A breathing space, where one can reflect on South Africa’s past. Includes a memorial list of South Africans killed in the Boer wars, World War I and II as well as the Apartheid Liberation struggle.

Staats Model School:
One of the first Pretoria schools. Used to house Prisoners-of-War, during the Anglo-Boer War. More specifically for captured British officers. Winston Churchill was one of these before escaping.
Lion Bridge:
Formally opened by President Paul Kruger on June 1894. Oldest remaining bridge in Pretoria.
Coin World:
The South African Mint and our rich coin heritage and includes “Oom Paul” – oldest working coin press in the world.
Correctional Service Museum:
Ingenious collection of items, made by prisoners. Some as hobbies, others were illegally manufactured. It additionally covers the development of the penal system in South Africa.
South African Reserve Bank. Pretoria’s tallest building:

Events uch as the inauguration of South Africa’s first democratically elected President, Nelson Mandela took place here. It is a National monument and office of the president of South Africa. Designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built between 1910 and 1913 and seats the national government. You’ll have a chance to stroll through the beautiful terraced gardens and enjoy a spectacular view of the city.
Delville Wood War Memorial:
The Delville Wood War Memorial is at the Union Buildings. It is a tribute to South African troops who died in France during the First World War.
