If you're driving from Windhoek, take the B1 south towards Mariental and then continue on the C12 until you reach the canyon. The journey should take around 7-8 hours, depending on how many stops you make along the way. You can also book a guided tour of Fish River Canyon.

There are several tour operators that offer trips to the canyon, ranging from day trips to multi-day tours. Another option is to take a domestic flight to the nearby town of Keetmanshoop and then hire a car to drive to Fish River Canyon. Air Namibia operates regular flights between Windhoek and Keetmanshoop, which take around 1 hour. Once you've arrived in Keetmanshoop, it's a 2-3 hour drive to the canyon.
